I am a notorious back-roads person. I have learned that
the "quick" way anywhere is not always the "best" way to where I am going. I love to take the back roads and see the journey I am on instead of getting there in record time. These are some photos of my ride home from the clinic on Christmas Eve. While the highways and tunnels were packed with holiday traffic, my only crosstown traffic was the sight of a great horned owl as he swooped down into the darkening valley.
